BEIJING, March 21 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices ended higher in the morning session on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.48 percent to end at 3,306.28 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.6 percent to end at 11,143.93 points.
