BOAO, Hainan, April 11 (Xinhua) -- One of the important inspirations China has drawn from its four decades of reform and opening-up is that China's development cannot be achieved without the world, while the world also needs China for its development, President Xi Jinping said Wednesday.

Xi made the remarks while meeting with incumbent and incoming members of the Board of Directors of the Boao Forum for Asia in the southern Chinese island province of Hainan.
