HO CHI MINH CITY, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- Some 8,000 runners from dozens of countries and regions will compete at the 2018 Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City Marathon slated for December 2.

Professional and amateur athletes alike will compete in the event's 42km, 21km, 10km, and 5km races, organizers announced Thursday.

The marathon has a total prize fund of 27,000 U.S. dollars.
