JAKARTA, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian mixed doubles pair Tontowi Ahmad and Winny Oktavina defeated German opponents Jones Ralfy Jansen and Kilasu Ostemeyer in 21-19, 21-18 into second round game at badminton Spain Master in Barcelona of Spain, media reported here on Wednesday.

For Tontowi, this is his first match pairing with Winny. Previously he had been paired with Liliyana Natsir for years.

In 2016, they secured a gold medal in the 2016 Rio Olympics in Brazil.
