MACAO, June 6 (Xinhua) -- Macao's overall residential property price index from February to April 2019 increased by 0.9 percent over the previous period (from January to March 2019) to 265.9, the special administrative region's statistics service said on Thursday.

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the residential property price index for the Macao Peninsula (268.0), as well as Taipa and Coloane (257.1) rose by 1.0 percent and 0.7 percent respectively over the previous period.

Meanwhile, the index for existing residential units (286.0) and the pre-sale residential units (276.4) went up by 0.7 percent and 1.6 percent respectively over the previous period.

In comparison with the same period of last year, the overall residential property price index increased by 5.7 percent, with the indices for existing residential units and pre-sale residential units rising by 3.7 percent and 10.1 percent respectively.
